Aunt Eliza treats me with marked politeness since I am a Lt's wife; O! how I do abhor such a principal; but money and position is the God of that family, as well as many others. I will wait to hear from you before I go to see Mother; I do want to see her so much; as I never expect to see her again. What do you think of it" So try to come home this summer wont you? I have got very hearty since I have been out here, and have such a good appetite. I have not heard from home yet, I am anxious to know how they all are; I never hear from Cy, he never writes to me, I think I will write to him again this week; has he ever answered any of your letters? Since I have been here I have been thinking of trying to again to sell that land of mine in Indiana; I have a Cousin or a Cousin of my father's in Danville, who is a good buisness man, and a man of integrity too who I presume would attend to it willingly for me, and two hundred dollars is worth something nowadays. It is now almost church time and I must close; write often and freely to your wife; Ever remember me in your prayers; Ever yours Mary
